A fun session playing a range of different sports; Basketball, Unihoc, Tchoukball and Shinty are the most popular.

Kids Termtime Activities
Badminton (Mondays)
There are 2 different age groups for our Kids Badminton sessions, Primary 1 to Primary 4 and Primary 5+. Our weekly classes take place in Spòrsnis Hall and aim to give kids the chance to play and learn the game of Badminton in a safe and fun environment with their friends. The sessions usually consist of a fun warm-up, then some skill-related practices and then we finish with matches. The sessions are run by Julie Murray, and she is assisted with coaches Micheil & Morgan.
£2 per child
Football (Tuesdays and Fridays)
There are 3 different age groups for our Kids Football sessions: Primary 1 to Primary 4, Primary 5 to Primary 7 and Secondary School. Each age group has 2 sessions per week, and these take place either in Spòrsnis Hall or down at Fivepenny Pitch, depending on the weather. The sessions aim to let kids of all ages and ability play and learn the game of football. We have a lot of game time during our football sessions, but we also play warm-up games, skill-related practices and conditioning games. The sessions are associated with Ness FC, so the kids also get the chance to play in football festivals and tournaments whilst representing Ness. The sessions are led by SFA qualified coach Micheil, who is assisted by Morgan and parents often volunteer as well.

There are 2 different age groups for our Kids Multi-Sports Club, Primary 1 to Primary 4 and Primary 5+. Multi-Sports aims to give kids the opportunity to play and learn fun new sports and games with their friends. Each week a different sport is played, and this includes Basketball, Uni-Hoc, Tchoukball and Shinty. Most of the sessions are game-time in whatever sport it is that week, however, fun warm-up games and skill-related practices are part of the session. The sessions are run by coaches Micheil and Morgan.
£2 per child per session
Gymnastics (Thursdays)
There are 2 different age groups for our Kids Gymnastics sessions, 3-6years and 6+ years. Both classes take place in Sporsnis Hall and are led by former P.E. Teacher Liz Carmichael. Sporsnis has a wide range of Gymnastics Apparatus that is put to full use at each session (Crash Mats, Balance Beams, Vaults, Horse etc.). The 3-6 years session aims to give young children the chance to play in a safe and fun environment with their friends whilst also learning the basics of Gymnastics e.g., Balancing, Tumbling & Jumping. The 6+ age group progresses from the first session and aims to help slightly older children advance their Gymnastics skills. Micheil and Morgan assist Liz with the sessions.
Gymnastics is £3.50 per session or £10 for a 4-week block.
Saturday Kids Club
Saturday Kids Club is a great start to the weekend for any child! The session is 2 hours long (10am-12pm) and is welcome to any child 5year+. The session can include anything from Sports & Games in the hall, Ten-Pin Bowling, Arts & Crafts, hide ’n’ seek and Bouncy Castles! We have a snack break half-way through each session, children welcome to take their own refreshments or can purchase items from our tuck shop at reception. The session is run by several different coaches and instructors, including Dods, Simon, Julie, Micheil and Morgan.

Badminton (Mondays)
3 badminton courts are open in Spòrsnis Hall on our weekly night to anyone who fancies a game of Badminton. Whether that’s a game of singles or doubles with a partner, Spòrsnis welcomes anyone by themselves or coming along with their friends. With a wide range of skill levels, you’ll find whatever you’re looking for; fun and competitive games are common as are relaxed friendly games.

Tuesday ‘Alisons’ Circuits
This circuits session hosted by Alison Macleod is a medium intensity workout in the main hall. After a 5 – 10 minute warm up you will work through a variety of movements for 30 seconds each. There are always more challenging options for those days that you are feeling strong and less challenging options for those days when you aren’t or want to prevent injury. Alisons sessions are always accompanied by lively music and never fail to entertain. Come down and give it a try, everybody is welcome.

Netball (Wednesdays)
On Wednesday evenings Sporsnis hosts a game of Netball for any ladies that fancy a game. There is usually a coach on hand to help with skills and to referee. The session is one hour long, and all ages and abilities are welcome. Come along if you want a fun, friendly and sociable match of Netball whilst getting a great workout.

Thursday ‘Sporsnis’ Circuits
This 1-hour circuits session hosted by Micheil is a medium to high intensity workout in the main hall. After a 10-minute warm up you will work through a variety of exercises and movements for 30-40 seconds each. There are always more challenging options for those days that you are feeling strong and less challenging options for those days when you aren’t or want to prevent injury. After completing the circuit, depending on how everyone is feeling there is often a final exercise challenge to finish off strongly. A 5-minute cool down and stretch is included at the end of the workout. Micheil’s sessions are always accompanied by lively music. Come down and give it a try, everybody is welcome!

5 a-side youth football (Thursdays)
Open session for 12 – 18-year-olds to play indoor soccer. Refereed by our own staff.
Carpet Bowls (Fridays)
This session is for all ages and abilities, our newest addition. A game of guile, concentration and pinpoint accuracy. The kettle is on for this relaxed, 2-hour session, so come down and learn with us.
£3 per session (free tea and coffee)
